HOUSTON Transportation & Mobility Conference
A gathering of transportation planners and engineers
   
The goal of the Conference is to provide a communication forum for transportation planners and engineers to better understand the transportation and mobility challenges encountered in the Houston Metropolitan area while providing
the opportunity to learn about unique and successful national and international transportation projects.
Conference Objectives
  • Bring together public agencies, engineering consultants, transportation planners, research institutions, and transportation providers;
  • Enhance cooperation between public agencies and private entities who are stakeholders in the region’s transportation infrastructure;
  • Create awareness about current and future regional transportation needs; and
  • Develop a public/private partnership for the creation of educational opportunities by creating a scholarship endowment at the University of Houston.
Conference Philanthropy
Transportation professionals recognize the need to partner with educational and research institutions to meet current and future challenges. For this purpose one of the conference objectives is to raise funds and create scholarship endowments that will provide permanent scholarships at the University of Houston for area high school graduates wanting to pursue a career in transportation engineering.
UH-NASA Technology Transfer Discussion Group
The UH-NASA Technology Transfer Discussion Group is an effort to bring together experts and to investigate the application of space technologies towards the benefit of Houston's regional transportation system.
