The Houston Transportation and Mobility Conference was first held in 2003 with the goal to provide a dialogue for transportation planners and engineers that fosters better understanding of transportation challenges encountered in the Houston Metropolitan area and to provide
examples of unique and successful national and international transportation projects.
Conference Objectives
- Bring together public agencies, engineering consultants, transportation planners, research institutions, and transportation providers;
- Create awareness about current and future regional transportation needs; and
- Develop a public/private partnership for the creation of educational opportunities by funding a scholarship endowment at the University of Houston.
Conference Philanthropy
To date a total of $6,000 has been donated to the UH Civil and Environmental Engineering Department for the funding of a permanent scholarship fund.
